I actually have a safari booked up for Kenya and can’t wait to see all the wildlife in their natural habitat. I’m also a keen amateur photographer, so this will be a long awaited dream come true.
I would love to take a tour of China, from the Yangtze River to the Forbidden City, walk the great wall and then no visit would be complete without visiting the Pandas in Chengdu.
As a child we would visit Austria as we have Austrian relatives. This was my first experience of travel, seeing the mountains, rolling down steep hills and swimming in lakes surrounded by amazing scenery.
For me, the camera always goes in first. Life is about making memories and I like to try and capture mine. Followed by a good pair of walking shoes and lot’s of clothes. I should really learn to pack light!
Book your excursions as soon as you have decided what it is you would like to do, as spaces can fill fast. It's the same with any specialty restaurants onboard that you know you want to dine at. Mid-ship staterooms are known to have less movement, although ones at the back of the ship overlooking the white water spray is mesmerizing when you are in the middle of the ocean, sitting on your balcony, it's as if you are the only person on the planet!
1) Try to find out a little about the culture you are visiting before your departure. It is always a good thing to speak with someone who has had first-hand experience travelling there.
2) Keep a copy of your passport or record your passport number separately from your passport.
3) Allow enough time when travelling to the airport, or book an airport hotel for the night before so you can relax and not panic about getting there!
