I embarked on my journey in the travel industry during the early 2000s when I undertook an apprenticeship in Travel and Tourism while working at Travelcare in Cromer. This experience marked the beginning of my passion to travel the world of travel and ignited my ability to help others to explore and experience the wonders of the world.
Waking up every day to pursue my passion in my dream career fills me with immense fulfilment and satisfaction. Building meaningful relationships with customers, witnessing their excitement as they embark on their adventures, and knowing that I've played a part in creating lifelong memories is my favourite part.
I'm drawn to visiting Cape Town, South Africa, for its stunning natural beauty, iconic landmarks such as Table Mountain and the Cape of Good Hope, vibrant cultural scene, delicious cuisine, and diverse range of activities including hiking, surfing, and wine tasting. The city's rich history, warm hospitality, and breathtaking coastal landscapes make it a top destination for my next adventure.
New Zealand holds a special allure as my dream holiday destination due to its breathtaking natural landscapes, including majestic mountains, pristine beaches, and lush forests. I'm captivated by the opportunity to explore its diverse outdoor activities as well as its rich Maori culture, renowned wine regions, and friendly locals. The country's sense of adventure, stunning scenery, and unique experiences make it the perfect destination to fulfil my travel dreams.
One of the most thrilling holidays I've had the pleasure of booking for a customer, and one I'd love to experience myself, is a ski vacation in the Swiss Alps. This meticulously crafted itinerary included luxurious accommodations in a cosy chalet nestled among snow-capped peaks, with ski-in, ski-out access to some of the world's most legendary slopes.
Having grown up by the seaside in Sheringham, I spent most of my summers enjoying the beach. While I adore the sea, one summer my dad treated me to an unforgettable trip to Orlando, Florida, when I was nine years old. Together, we had an absolute blast! From riding thrilling roller coasters to soaking up the radiant Florida sun, we made memories that will last a lifetime.
A DK travel guide book and map - I wish I could speak multiple languages but always aim to say 'Please' and 'Thank you' as a minimum, this always goes a long way with the locals. A pashmina or scarf - from chilly evenings to covering up while entering local churches or monuments a pashmina always has you covered. And finally, a beach bag with towel clips!
1) Prepare your hand luggage and documents - I love getting organised and pop everything into a travel wallet.
2) Do your research - remember to check the weather before you travel!
3) Pack your case using zip storage bags - I pop all my swimwear into one of these, it makes unpacking so much easier.
1) Book your excursions early - these can get booked up very quickly.
2) Always pack some essentials in your hand luggage to you can start enjoying your holiday from the moment you step on board.
3) Research the ports of call - you don't always need to go on excursions if you can easily enjoy the local port area - sometimes is nice to just enjoy the view and quiet time onboard the ship.
