I began my career in travel from the early age of 14 when I used to volunteer in a local travel agency to gain some work experience. After leaving school I joined a local agency and worked my way to branch manager. After a few years gap to have my two children I returned on a part time basis until 1999 when I returned full time. Although I have spent most of my career in different agencies I have had the opportunity to work for a few months with a leading cruise line.
I am passionate about travel and hence I just love to go on holiday, as many times as I possibly can!
I have booked to go to Thailand next year for two and a half weeks to do a bit of exploring. I am visiting Khao Lak, Elephant hills jungle safari, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Bangkok. Very excited!
I have booked an extensive itinerary for some customers that were travelling all over New Zealand with stopovers in Hong Kong, Fiji, Hawaii and San Francisco. I think I might have to wait a while for this one !
My dream holiday destination would be to do a safari in South Africa as I would love to see the big 5 in the wild!
I always ask my customers what they are looking for in a cruise. Some people want lots of entertainment, others base their cruise around the itinerary, some just want a small and intimate ship and of course for some people it might be all about the food. It is therefore really important to find the right cruise ship and operator for every individual to maximise their enjoyment.
