When did you start working in the travel industry?

I started working in travel in 1985.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Helping customers get the travel experience of their dreams, then seeing them and their referred friends come back for more.

Where would you like to visit next?

Japan, not for nothing is Japan one of the most popular worldwide destinations today, a culture quite unique to itself and part of the wonders of Asia. Think the warmest hospitality, modern and traditional mix of experiences, methods of travel including the Bullet Train too.

What is your dream holiday destination?

South Polynesia... A part of the world I have not been to where I can just imagine total relaxation, stunning waters and beaches, friendly locals and a delightful mix of influences from alternative cultures. I would also love to cruise this region of the world.

What has been your favourite holiday, which you have booked for a customer, that you would love to take yourself?

I have a particular love of Latin culture, so the cruises that operate within South America over the European winter season combining ports of call in Rio de Janeiro, Buzios (Brazil), Buenos Aires, Punte del Este (Argentian) and Santiago (Chile) appeal massively to me, with a few pre and post nights to top it.

What were your childhood holidays like?

We typically hired a Gite in France near the Dordogne.... I was particularly keen on overnights sleepers when travelling in Europe by rail, to me it was a far more interesting way to travel than simply flying

What are the first three things in your case?

Mobile phone, smart jacket and local currency.

's Cruise Tips

1) Choose the cruise with the destinations of interest for you.

2) Choose a balcony cabin for that added privacy at a small extra cost.

3) Take advantage of the cuisine options open to you, in some cases there may be small supplements, these are definitely worthwhile for a few occasions.

My Favourite Memory

I lived in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in the 1970s... There is no city in the world that comes close... Atmosphere, way of life, culture, beaches and one of the largest countries in the world offering every type of holiday and cruise experience.
