In two days’ time, the CLIA Cruise Excellence Awards will be held on board Cruise and Maritime Voyages’ new ship for 2015, Magellan. This esteemed event is held annually to celebrate those who have contributed fantastically to the industry in the last twelve months and recognises innovation, expertise and leadership in a variety of different areas.
We are pleased to say that Fred. Olsen Travel has been shortlisted for one of eight accolades, having been named alongside Barrhead Travel, Kuoni, Trailfinders and Virgin Holidays in the category of High Street Travel Agent of the Year. As well as going up against the current holders, Trailfinders, we find ourselves amongst venerable competition in the form of four widely respected agents. However, we have our fingers crossed that the fantastic work the team have done in our travel stores across East Anglia and along the south coast is rewarded on Thursday night.
Other awards being handed out include Online Travel Agent of the Year, the Innovation in Cruise Award, and Outstanding Contribution to the Cruise Industry. Last year’s ceremony was held on board Fred. Olsen Cruises Lines’ Black Watch and we are sure 2015’s event will be just as exciting; especially if we leave with the award held high.
